I am not going to touch the book!!
Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry Chapter 2
Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry Chapter 3
The most important part of chapter 1 is when Clayton and Cassie speak up for the offensive term used inside their new schoolbook. I think it is the most important scene because it shows that they stand up for what they know is wrong. It also shows that the adults don't really say anything even though they are treated unfair. It also showed that there were some people like Miss Crocker a self racist teacher who is black and supports what the whites did and does not care about her race.
From what I think, the most important scene from this chapter is when Papa comes back home. I think so because Papa coming back tells us that he really cares about his family. When he came back it was like the Logans had hope again.
From what I think, the most important scene from this chapter was when Clayton and some of his friends dug a hole on the middle of the road. The bus driver deliberately kept on splashing Clayton and his friends and the white kids in the bus with the driver would laugh at them getting soaked with muddy water. It shows that Clayton and his pals are not just going to let the whites treat them bad and make them struggle.
