- We maintain our bodies through homeostasis through negative and positive feedback. Negative feedback is a rection that moves the body away from its normal state and is brought back to normal again whereas positive feedback a reaction moves the body away from normal until it reaches a goal and then returns to normal.
- A marine biologist could test and analyze how an organism maintains homeostasis when introduced to various pollutants in their ecosystem which gives more insight to how an organism functions and potential solutions to pollution problems..
- Is there any way we can stop pollution from hurting sea life?
- Of course, recycling and using less plastic is always the best option but scientists have been using metabolism technology to rid of contaminants.
- Bioremediation and phytoremediation use bacteria and plants to remove contaminants from certain areas. This technology could for example, use bacteria to remove oil spills from oceans and plastic in the ecosystem which allows the species living there to thrive.
