welcome to D-Day
The battle of D-Day is a very important battle in Canadian history. Firstly, thebattle took place on June 6, 1944. This was a long awaited invasion to takeback fortress Europe. Secondly, with the lessons learned from Dieppe, soldiers in D-Day were able tothrive. Fewer lives were lost due to detailed planning and practicing. Soldierseven came up with a plan to trick the axis forces so they would think the attackwas taking place in Calais. Lastly, Canadian soldiers took pride by gainingfarther inland than other allied forces. This battle was also the largestconvoy in human history. Therefore, the battle of D-Day once again made a hugemark in Canadian history since Vimy.

We need to fight this battle we owe it to the many lives which were lost in diepe.
