  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • The Narrator, (POE), is at the Old Man's House when it is midnight. While the mood is mysterious and the tone is creepy.
  • Climax
  • The Narrator is having a conflict with his mind. He is disagreeing with himself which is Man vs. Self and Man vs. Mind.
  • Falling Action
  • The Narrator is fascinated with the Old Man's eye, but also had an issue with it. He also was very nice to the Old Man.
  • Resolution
  • I killed him!!!
  • He killed the Old Man by pushing the bed over him until he suffocated and died.
  • To hide the Old Man's body, he cut of the head, arms, and legs, and put the parts in between the scantlings.
  • The cops came and asked where the Old Man was. The narrator told the cops that he was out of the country and won't be back until a long time. Then, the Narrator finally got paranoid and kept on hearing a ticking noise in his head, and told the cops that he killed him.
