Ugh! I hate this cave, it's dirty, and wet, and why do we always have to move around to find shelter and food? Why can't we just stay in the same place?
During the Paleolithic Age, people had to live in caves, or rough, tent like structures. These shelters were temporary, because people constantly had to move around to find food.
After all of our hard work, we finally finished making this house! We made this house out of mud bricks, stones, and tree branches!
In the Neolithic Age people started to settle down, mainly at Fertile Crescent, and they started building permanent homes.
This change was important, because this gave the people the opportunity to start settling down and coming together as a family.
