The first god was Ra, the Sun God, and the Creator of all life. After he came into the world, he immediately gave life to many other gods and other creatures.
Hiya everybody! I'm Ra, and I'm here to welcome you all to the story of the formation of Egypt.
On the first day, Osiris was born and immediately crowned king. On the second day, out came Haroeris, and on the third, with a lot of pain, Set.
On the fourth day, Isis came into the world, and on the fifth day, Nephthys charmed her way onto the planet.
Osiris and Isis married immediately, as they had fallen in love before they had even been born. Set eventually married Nephthys, but they didn't love each other.
Each one had their own specific powers; Isis was clever and brave, smarter than millions of people, and Goddess of Magic. Nephthys was loyal and gentle. Osiris was noble, handsome, and generous. Set was always bitter about Osiris being king because he was oldest, so he was greedy and cruel.
Ra, his children, Shu, and Tefnet, his grandchildren, Geb and Nut, and his great-grandchildren, Osiris, Isis, Set, and Nephthys, made up the Nine Great gods, all grouped together with the name "Ennead". Ra then created scores of lesser deities, and the gods were not so lonely
