June 28th, 1914- Archduke Ferdinand Francis was assassinated by a nationalist group made by angered Serbs and Croats because Bosnia and Herzegovina was annexed from Turkey and taken into the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Oh no! We're sinking!
August 3rd, 1914 Germany declared war on France. Germany invaded Belgium. Britain then sent an ultimatum demanding Germany to withdraw their troops.
August 4th, 1914- Britain declared war on Germany. Germany did not withdraw from Belgium so Britain declared war on them.
May 7th, 1915- Germany sunk the Lusitania, a British ship coming from the United States. This angered many americans and was one of the causes for the United States to enter into the war.
May 23rd, 1915- Italy entered the war on the side of the Allies.
April 2nd, 1915- Second Battle of Ypres. Battle where poison gas was used for the first time in the war by the Germans causing many British casualties.
