Congress passed the Kansas-Nebraska Act on May 30, 1854
The act would allow the Kansas and Nebraska Territories to decide if they should allow slaves within thir boarder
After the act was passed pro and anti slavery suppressors rushed to Kansas to settle to affect of the first slavery held after the law was passed.
Pro slavery electors carried the election. The anti slavery supporters wanted to do another election, but the pro slavery supporters refused.
How about we do another election?

Then they decided to make there own legislative within the Kansas territory
