The house was located in Arlington, Virginia. Robert E. Lee lived there with his wife and kids.
On 1861 the Union took over the house. The Union made sure Robert E. Lee didn't come back, so they started to buried people.
He won't come back now!
After the war ended one of the grandchildren ended up selling the house to the government for 150000. It impacted our nation because it has history within the walls, that help us understand how times were back then, and helps us understand what happened.
