This ad is targeting millennials with children. This ad targets safety (of the family) needs, by showing how the child’s mood (mental health safety) improved once he was offered Nestle’s hot chocolate. The child gets dumped by his girlfriend in the beginning (hurting his esteem) but the hot cocoa makes it better (targeting esteem needs.) This ad will make parents feel as if even though they aren’t there all the time for their kids through their problems Nestle will make up for it.
