The Necklace Story by: Guy de Maupassant Storyboard by: Evie Green
There was once a couple that lived in a nice house. The husband was happy with their living but the wife was not. Madam Loisel was always thinking to herself how she did not have anything good.
One night M. Loisel gave Mme. Loisel an invitation to a ball. Mme. Loisel would not accept the invite because she was afraid she would have no dress, no jewels, and she would look poor next to all of the rich people
Mme. Loisel got a dress. And also a new necklace from her friend. They both cost so much that M. Loisel payed fro them with his savings. Now that they both had nice clothes they could go to the ball.
They went to the ball and had so much fun. They didn't have a care in the world. They got home and Mme. Loisel realized that she had lost the necklace! They looked everywhere for it! Mme. Loisel knew she had to do the right thing. She would have to save up the money to pay for the necklace.
Mme.Loisel talked to her friend who had let her borrow the necklace. She told her about how she had to save up for 10 years to get the money for the necklace. Mme. Loisel was now poor and had barely any money left. As she was talking to her friend she had something to say. Her friend had told her that the necklace was fake and that it was not worth near as much as a real necklace!
