  • Down with the Capulets! Down with the Montagues!
  • Capulet, come with me. Montague I will meet with you later this afternoon.
  • Verona. A public place
  • Go check on Romeo, he has beeen acting depressed lately.
  • Yes, as you wish.
  • A Street
  • May I marry Juliet?
  • She is to young for marriage.
  • In the town the Montague and Capulet families disrupt the peace once again and the people are tired of this. The prince comes to settle things and tells both Capulet and Montague that he will speak with both of them sometime today.
  • Capulets's House
  • Can you give Paris a chance? He plans to marry you.
  • I can try but I make no promises.
  • Come Romeo, you must dance.
  • After the fight ended Montague sent Benvolio to go check on Romeo as he has been acting quite gloomy lately and has not be seen anywhere today.
  • A street
  • You must take interest into other girls.
  • I am too depressed to go to a feast and dance.
  • Here, Paris is asking Capulet if he may marry his daughter. Capulet keeps indirectly declining his offer.
  • Capulet's house
  • Who is that beautiful young lady?
  • I woundn't know good sir.
  • In this scene Capulet's wife asks Juliet if she is willing to fall in love with Paris. She also discusses with Juliet the topic of marriage.
  • In this scene Mercutio and Benvolio try to persuade Romeo to come to the feast. Romeo declined saying he was too depressed to go to a feast and dance.
  • Although Romeo rejected many times to go to the feast he was somehow convinced. As the feast began he saw Juliet whom he instantly fell in love with.
