Storyboard Text

  • Hey Nathan! Do you know how to take the derivatives of Natural Logs?
  • Sure I can help you out later today if you meet me in the library!
  • Thanks for doing this Nathan, I need some help.
  • No problem Chad we all need help sometimes.
  • Put one over the argument then multiply that by all of that by the derivative of the argument.
  • What is the argument?
  • Oh okay that makes sense!
  • The argument is whatever you are taking the natural log of.
  • You do (1/3X)(3) to get 3/3X. Reduce it to get 1/X
  • That's Right!
  • Try taking the derivative of ln (3x)
  • That was actually really easy thanks!
  • Now you can do good on the test coming up!
