This is a Metamorphic rock. hey son, lets learn about the rock cycle so you can really get a good understanding about it
Hey daddy what is this rock?
So it all starts with with a metamorphic, then when it melts it turns into magma, then when it cools down, it turns into igneous rock. So when igneous go through the process of heat and pressure, it can turn back into a metamorphic rock. But if the igneous rock go's through the process of weathering and erosion, it turns into sediment. Even if a metamorphic rock go's through the process of weathering and erosion, it can still turn into sediment. Then if sediment go's through the process of compaction and cementation, it can turn into a sedimentary rock. Even if sedimentary rock go's through the process of weathering and erosion, it still can turn into sediment. So when sedimentary go's through the process of heat and pressure, it turns back into a metamorphic rock.
No problem Son.
Thanks dad for teaching me the rock cycle.
