Hi! My name is Leeha and I live in the western side of the country in December 30, 1835. I am currently 22 years old and the leader of my tribe.
I became the leader after my dad died protecting me and my mom during a battle with the white men.
A few years ago my tribe and other tribes that lived in the east of the country had to move to the west side because of the white people. Many people cried most of the way, so it was called the rail of tears.
Things don't end there, a few months ago, a portion of the Cherokee nation agreed to give up Cherokee lands in the Southeast for land in and removal to Indian territory.
Even though, I think it's fine that the constitution goes against England, it's wrong for them to feel angry about England wanting to take control over the colonies ground since they are OUR lands. Also, they didn't consider how we felt about strangers ting over or either.
Even though, this events aren't easy nor happy and it made my life and my tribe's life harder it has also made us stronger. I have learned that crying won't solve anything, but we have to think and take action to resolve it. I know I may be not be ready to a great leader like my dad once was, but I hope I will and protect my people no matter what.
