In a city there was a really happy Prince, who never left his palace and never let anything or anyone get in.
THE HAPPY PRINCE BY SANZO MARTINA - 1BL
When he died they created a statue to remember him, It was made of gold and precious stones.
One day a swallow stopped on him and decided to stand on his head, He told his story and asked for help, He wanted his citizens to be happy. So he told her to take his jewels and donate them to the poor and needy. He counted once and told her to fly away but the swallow remained there until her death.
The town councilors oncethey noted that the statue was bare wanted to build another one.
At the end of it all, God asked an Angel to bring him two of the the city's most precious things and he brought him the heart of the Prince and the body of the swallow
This is so because the Prince showed how generous he was while the swallow was faithful to him.
