King Lear, Cordelia, Gloucester, Edger, Kent
King Lear has decided to split his land in two for each of his oldest daughters because they say they love him but Cordelia said nothing. Kent says King Lear is making a mistake, and Kent is banished.
Edmund plans his betrayal that will turn his father on his brother. His father, Gloucester, read the fake letter and is enraged because he thinks his son, Edgar, wrote it. Later when Edmund finds his brother he tells Edgar to run because their father is mad at him and he doesn't know why.
After King Lear realizes his mistake he and Cordelia go to war with Regan and Goneril, King Lears two oldest brothers.
King Lear and Cordelia end up prisoners of war. Cordelia is killed which ends up leading to King Lear's death, from his grief. Regan and Goneril end up killing each other because they both wanted to marry Edmund even though they were both married.
Edgar confronted Edmund and Edmund was killed. In the end King Lear and Cordelia lost but so did Edmund.
