Storyboard Text

  • In this scene, Iago and Othello enter in mid-conversation. Iago argues that it is not a crime for a man to be naked with a woman and tells Othello about what Cassio & Desdemona have done, which causes Othello to fall into a trance.
  • No Lord. Don't let this be true! I might just----- (Othello falls into trance)
  • Cassio told me that he has lain with Desdemona, and that they have slept together.
  • Cassio enters the room & Iago mentions that Othello has fallen into his second "fit of epilipsy" in the past couple of days to cover up the lie. Cassio asks to speak with Othello once he comes back out of his fit.
  • Uh.... Othello has fallen into his second fit this week... he gets these a lot. Nothing is wrong with him, he'll be up soon.
  • When he awakes, I need to speak with him.
  • Othello awakes, and Iago instructs him to hide so Othello can witness how much of a low life "jerk" Cassio is while him & Iago converse. This makes Othello think Cassio shames women and is shaming/ talking bad about Desdemona.
  • So, how is "she"? How is your relationship going? Are y'all connecting on a physical level? Haha.
  • Haha, yeah man. For I see her as nothing more than my little whore. For she's been around the bush, more than once.
  • Othello confronts Desdemona her supposed "behavior" and in the midst of their argument, Lodovico walks in with a message from the Duke.
  • Um... I was instructed to send you a message from the Duke....
  • Why are you so aggressive! For I have done nothing wrong!
  • I KNOW ABOUT YOUR MISCHEIF DESDEMONA! YOU LIAR!
  • Othello interrogates Emilia to get information on Desdemona, but Emilia has not been informed on Iago's plan, so she can not help him.
  • I'm sorry, but I don't know what you are talking about Othello
  • So, what do you know about Desdemona's decietful behavior?
  • Iago enters the scene, and Desdemona questions him as to why Othello has been treating her like a whore lately, but he acts like he doesn't know and he doesn't inform her on his plan.
  • Do you have any idea for why Othello has been treating me like I'm some freak off the streets?
  • I have no idea, my love. For you are the most beautiful, respectable woman I have ever met.
