my story with the 14th amendment
So, we've been living in Central America for quite awhile...
And I think it's time we move to the United States.
What?! But I love it here in El Salvador! My family is here, and our kids were born here, too!
Well that's okay because the 14th Amendment says...
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside."
14 Years After Moving...
Well life here in Springdale is great! And I'm so glad that our family moved here.
It's such a lush, beautiful place to live!
I'm so glad that because of the 14th Amendment, we were able to be naturalized and become citizens!
Also because of our citizenship; when we're older we can vote, enlist in the military, become politicians, and do all the things that citizens can do!
