  • Well, yaw have two houses and we have 1 in congress.

  • I want to 2 houses and each based on something different.
  • In the summer in Philadelphia there is a lot of mosquitoes.

  • Delegates from Virginia and New Jersey are arguing about representation.The Virginia plan, a large state wants representation based on population.
  • The 3/5th compromise
  • After a period of argument, Roger Sherman presents Great Compromise that proposed 2 houses. One based on population and the other based on equal every state.
  • Federalists and Anti-Federalists
  • The Southern delegates thought that a slave should be counted as a full person.
  • We think that all slaves should be counted as full and not as 3/5th.
  • The 3/5th compromise counted the slaves as 3/5th of a person.They would not count them as a full person like the Southern delegates.
  • The federalists agreed the constitution would make a strong enough government to unite the states.The anti-federalists dislike the constitution becaused it wasn't
