  • Mercutio, thou consort’st with Romeo.
  • Scene 2
  • Ah weraday, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead!

  • Scene 3
  • A gentler judgment vanished from his lips: Not body’s death, but body’s banishment.
  • Benvolio and Mercutio are met by Tybalt and other Capulet's. Tybalt and Mercutio are sword fighting, but when Romeo tries to stop them Tybalt stabs Mercutio under Romeo's arm. Seeking revenge Romeo then kills Tybalt, because of this Romeo is banished from Verona.
  • Scene 4
  • Sir Paris, I will make a desperate tender Of my child’s love. I think she will be ruled In all respects by me.
  • Juliet waits for Romeo to come to her when the nurse tries to explain what has happened. After straightening out a miscommunication Juliet is devastated, and in order to comfort her the nurse says she knows where Romeo is hiding and will find him.
  • Scene 5
  • I pray you, tell my lord and father, madam, I will not marry yet. And when I do, I swear It shall be Romeo, whom you know I hate, Rather than Paris.
  • Hiding in Friar Lawrence's cell, Romeo is told of his banishment from Verona. The nurse arrives and gives Romeo a ring from Juliet. The Friar decides to have Romeo spend the night with Juliet and then go to Mantua and not come back till his marriage is public.
  • Capulet tells Paris that he may marry Juliet. Due to the events that have happened Capulet hasn't had time to ask Juliet how she feels, but believes she will listen to him and plans on having the wedding Thursday.
  • After Romeo leaves Juliet in the morning, Lady Capulet breaks the news to Juliet of her marriage. Juliet strongly disagrees with her mother and doesn't want to marry Paris. Seeking guidance she goes to Friar Lawrence for confessions.
