Storyboard Text

  • About 3700 years ago...
  • I think that I'll go and search for more land for my mob!
  • Narrabeen Man decides to search for new land for his mob. Narrabeen man was not from the Guringai area, he was not initiated and he was a lot taller than the average person.
  • Narrabeen man never got initiated, so his two front teeth never got knocked out. He was also 183cm tall (6ft), most men in the Guringai area were 5'6".
  • This is tough!
  • Narrabeen Man is looking for land for his mob. It has to be coastal because Narrabeen man was a coastal dweller as there were fish bones in his stomach from his last meal.
  • Narrabeen Man had fish bones near his body, this signifies that he had fish for his last meal. This suggested that he was a coastal dweller.
  • This is perfect for my mob! I better collect some firewood.
  • Narrabeen Man found a coastal area (Narrabeen) for his mob.
  • Trespasser! Lets get him!
  • Some people from the local mob spot Narrabeen Man trespassing on their land.
  • Some people from the local mob kill Narrabeen Man brutally with death spears and other sharp implements. They also burned the back of Narrabeen Mans head after he died!
  • Please don't kill me!
  • Narrabeen Man had some spear tips embedded is his bones. These spears were recognised to be death spears. Many sharp implements damaged the body but not his bones, he also had a big blow to the back of his head by a sharp object. The back of his head got burned after he died.
  • Narrabeen Man's carbon dating was roughly 3700 years ago when he was found.
  • What's this doing here?!
  • Contractors find Narrabeen Man at the bus stop on the corner of Octavia Street and Ocean Street while excavating near the bus stop.
  • January 2005...
