Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as a Horror Movie
The first step was to create the opening scene with the factory/castle in the background, I had to lower the sound of the background music so you could hear both the dialogue and the background music mentioned.
The next step was to cut the video using the razor tool on premiere pro, the issue I faced was that the cutting of the video has to be very precise or it showed snippets of other scenes in the video.
I then had to cut out most of the speaking/dialogue, and left the machines in to give a futuristic feel and that the kids are trapped inside the factory, this was hard to cut because of the small cuts in the video itself.
Another element I had to do was make sure the music ended with the video and the music started with the video correctly to create a 'full' experience of the video and show the authoring software effectiveness.
The last step before the export was to close the final scene with the credits and add effects such as saturation and sharpness to the video to create a distorted theme that looked very creepy. This is shown in the mountain scene.
The final product/video was then exported and uploaded to youtube to put into the electronic brochure.
