Grendel stomped into the mead hall of Herot like a deadly storm, delighted to wreak havoc on the unexpecting Danes.
Those silly Danes have no idea what's coming to them.. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces!
He entered the area without any bangs, blasts or booms, and the Danes stayed fast asleep, unaware of the doom coming their way.
Herot trembled with fear as Grendel viciously devoured one of the Danes, Beowulf prepared to take on the mighty beast.
You fowl and loathful fiend, step back from my people! Slither back to your dark, cold hole of a lair!
Knowing that mortal weapons would not work on the vicious monster, Beowulf grasped Grendel's arm and tore it from his body with the strength of ten men.
Driven away by the severity of his injury, Grendel retreated back to the swamp of his homeland as to not perish in the presence of all the land which he once had terrible control of.
Hrothgar (and the rest of the Danes) honored Beowulf for his heroic act.
Beowulf, you have truly made proud the people of Herot by accomplishing this amazing feat!
