• Wow﻿ look! The candy store, mom! There's a sale, \$9.99 for 5 pounds of any candy. Can we get some?
• Sure! But let's make sure that the candy you want isn't all the heavy weighted stuff so yo﻿u don't go over the 5 pound's.
•  \$9.99 x﻿.275 -------- 4995 69930 199800 -------- 274725 then 2.74725 and round to \$2.75
• What do you mean? How can we figure that out?﻿
• We will weight it and we get to use 3x3 multiplication!﻿ I'll teach you.
• ﻿Pick out the candies you want and be sure to get some of those good looking pop rocks!
• We a﻿re a bit over 5 pounds. Let's see how much over using 3x3 multiplication.

• ﻿So the first step is to multiply the entire row (9.99) by  5 because that is the first number on the bottom right. Then the same row by 7. Then lastly the row by 2. Finally, count your decimals. There are 5 so but you decimal in front of the fifth number then round.
