Please help me survive and find the right church!
Martin Luther became a monk, but was furious with the sales of indulgences, so he nailed the 95 theses to the door of the church.
Many read and copied the words of the 95 theses, and because of this, lots of people followed Martin Luther and his protests.
Because he disagreed with the church, Martin Luther met with the Pope and was excommunicated.
Martin Luther then came up with a brilliant idea- to translate the Bible into German so that people could know what the Bible really says.
Luther continued his teachings and spoke to those who followed him. These people were referred to as the "Protestants" because they went against the teachings of the church.
