Storyboard Description

Nana wasnt paying attention in class so he didnt really understand what Mrs smith explained about polynomial functions. so after school he went up to her and ask her to explain what polynomial functions is and how to find an absolute or global maximum or minimum or local maximum or minimum.

Storyboard Text

  • Hey Mrs smith, what is a polynomial function? i didn't really understood what it meant in class today when you explained it.
  • well Nana im glad you came and ask me this question. lets take a walk while we talk
  • Polynomial functions are functions of a single independent variable, in which that variable can appear more than once, raised to any integer power
  • well in that case, how do you determine the an absolute or global maximum or minimum or local maximum or minimum and also the concavity of a graph.
  • Well Nana, to find an absolute or global maximum or minimum or local maximum or minimum, you have to look at the highest or lower point over the entire domain of a function or relation. the concavity is just bending behavior of a curve so that is pretty much easy to determine.I think you need to come to class on time and pay attention and you will understand what goes on in class. study because we have a test tomorrow.
  • Thank you very much Mrs smith for explaining everything over to me. I will start coming to class early and pay attention. let me get on my bus before it leaves. Have a good afternoon Mrs smith, see you tomorrow.
