The Most Dangerous Game By: Richard Connell
Exposition- Connell made a intresting point by saying '"Nonsense," laughed Rainsford. "This weather is making you soft, Whitney. Be a realist. The world is made up of two classes- the hunters and the huntees. Luckily , you and I are hunters. Do you think we've passed that island yet?"' (Connell 62).
Inciting Incident- Connell stated " He struggled to the surface and tried to cry out, but the wash from the speeding yacht slapped him in the face, and the salt water in his open mouth made him gag and strangle" (Connell 63).
General Zaroff stated '"I suggest to one of them that we go hunting. I give him a supply of food and an excellent hunting knife. I give him three hours' start. I am to follow, armed only with a pistolof the smallest caliber and range..."' (Connell 72)
General Zaroff was astonished "A man, who had been hiding in the curtains of the bed, was standing there. '“Rainsford!” screamed the general. '“How in God’s name did you get here?”' (Connell 80)
Connell stated this to keep the reader reading'“I see,”' he said. '“Splendid! One of us is to furnish a repast for the hounds. The other will sleep in this very excellent bed. On guard, Rainsford. . . .”' ( Connell 80)
Connell used this to wrap up the story"He had never slept in a better bed, Rainsford decided." (Connell 80)
