After winning the revolution, Americas wanted to set up a government which was completely different from the British Monarchy. Thus, they created the Articles of Confederation, however this failed because the government was too weak.
Political and Economic Impacts of the Revolution
Once realizing that America needed a strong, centralized government, the Founding Fathers began to draft the Constitution.
After the revolution the Americans were in war debt due to the decrease of trade with Britain during the war. People began to take on the mindset to only buy American products to help keep money in circulation.
