  • Dred Scott was an African-American slave and he was owned by John Emerson and lived in Missouri.They went on a trip to the territories of Illinois & Wisconsin.
  • Look Dred, mountains. I bet you have not one of those in a while.
  • No I have not sir.
  • But not soon after they returned to Missouri, John Emerson had died. Now Dred Scott belongs to Emerson's widow.
  • WHY LORD! WHY!!!!!!
  • After Emerson's death, Dred went to court to demand freedom.
  • NO SLAVE SHALL BE GIVEN FREEDOM!
  • Sadly, Tanley declined and stated that no African-American was a citizen.
  • Not soon after the Dred Scott case, Tanely stated that slavery should be allowed in federal territory.
  • NO ONE SHALL BE DEPRIVED OF LIFE, LIBERTY, AND PROPERTY!!!
  • YEA!!!
  • Illinois senator, Abraham Lincoln said in the future there will be a future court ruling that he called the next Dred Scott Decision.
  • There will be a similar future court ruling. Just giving you guys a heads up.
