This storyboard does not have a description.
Dred Scott was an African-American slave and he was owned by John Emerson and lived in Missouri. They went on a trip to the territories of Illinois & Wisconsin.
Look Dred, mountains. I bet you have not one of those in a while.
No I have not sir.
But not soon after they returned to Missouri, John Emerson had died. Now Dred Scott belongs to Emerson's widow.
WHY LORD! WHY!!!!!!
After Emerson's death, Dred went to court to demand freedom.
NO SLAVE SHALL BE GIVEN FREEDOM!
Sadly, Tanley declined and stated that no African-American was a citizen.
Not soon after the Dred Scott case, Tanely stated that slavery should be allowed in federal territory.
NO ONE SHALL BE DEPRIVED OF LIFE, LIBERTY, AND PROPERTY!!!
Illinois senator, Abraham Lincoln said in the future there will be a future court ruling that he called the next Dred Scott Decision.
There will be a similar future court ruling. Just giving you guys a heads up.
