Hey? What did you learn in school today? By: Gabbie Bennett
Today we learned about the Cold War! The Cold War was a state of geopolitical tension after WWII! It started in 1947!
The Cold war was between the United states and Russia. The word "Cold" was used because there was no large scale fighting between both sides.
I also learned The United States was afraid of Communism. They threatened the Soviets with Atomic Bombs, which the Soviets were afraid of!
There was also this thing called the "Iron Curtain" which at the end of the war dissolved. The Soviet Union itself dissolved into its component Republics, thus ending the war!
Wow! You learned a lot today! You taught me things I did not even know as an adult.
In the end the Cold War lasted about 45 years! Ultimately the United States won in the end!
