The big four France, Great Britain, United States, and Italy gathered for the Treaty of Versailles.
Woodrow Wilson wanted there to be peace with his fourteen points bu the European powers rejected the idea.
The European wanted to punish Germany so they forced them to take blame for the war and to pay reparations
The only points that were taken seriously during the treaty was the breakup of several countries and the newly formed league of nations.
Wilson left Europe mostly pleased that at the very least new democratic nations were formed and there was now an international way for leaders to negotiate peace.
