One of the students is infected the influenza virus but doesn't know. It is a highly contagious respiratory disease. She sneezes close to another student, Marcos.
The virus has now entered in Marcos through the mucus membranes of his nose. He is now infected with the virus.
I feel better already.
Marcos tells the doctor what he feels. He says he's experienced fevers, fatigue, body aches, chills, and sore throat. Those are some of the main flu symptoms.
There is no true medicine to get rid of the flu since it is a virus. The doctor orders Marcos not to go to school and rest a lot. She tell him to drink some OTC medicine and nasal spray to open up airways.
After a week or so the virus begins to leave Marcos' body. He feels better but continues to take medicine until he feels 100% better.
Overall a virus is a type of germ that needs a host to survive. Once a perfect healthy host if found it reproduces and spreads. Viruses can mutate and adjust to new environments.
