  • I was elected in 1828. I practiced spreading power and ensuring the majority rule which was also known as the jacksonian democracy. I also believed in the spoils system.
  • We disagreed with 1. The sale of public land in the west 2. Federal spending on internal improvements 3 .Rissing tariffs
  • I was harsh to Natives. I wished they could assimilate into white culture. I also passed the Indian removal act in 1830. I was reelected in 1832. I also cut federal funding to shut down the national bank.
  • We had to go on a harsh trip called the Trail of Tears this trail took us to modern day Oklahoma.
  • I became president after Andrew Jackson in 1836.
  • My name is Martain Van Buren.
  • The Panic of 1837 was a widespread fear of the state of the economy after buren went into office
