  • Setting = Fountain/ park
  • Character = Johnny
  • Conflict = Ponyboy vs. self
  • Why did Johnny have to be the one to die?!?!
  • Johnny isn't dead!!
  • When the socs jumped Ponyboy and Johnny, this really affected them. Bob one of the socs was drowning Ponyboy so, Johnny had to kill Bob. This setting made Ponyboy feel threatened because Bob was trying to kill him.This affected Ponyboy because this meant that Johnny committed a crime and they had to run away.
  • Ponyboy was very upset when johnny died. When Johnny died Ponyboy lost his best friend and that was really hard on Ponyboy. This really affected Ponyboy and shaped his character because although Johnny died, Ponyboy grew stronger. Ponyboy really cared about Johnny because he was considered the "little brother" of the gang and wanted to protect him. When Johnny died Ponyboy didn't want to believe that he was dead.
  • This conflict affected Ponyboy in a few ways. Ponyboy didn't want to believe that Johnny died because he cared about him too much. Ponyboy started to tell himself that he killed Bob because he didn't want to leave the blame and Johnny and wanted Johnny to die as a hero. Ponyboy has to accept the fact that Johnny died and killed Bob, even if its going to affect him for the rest of his life.
