Storyboard Text

  • Tarsus...
  • I Will Wipe out the Christians! ONCE AND FOR ALL!!. How dare they oppose our God!
  • Are you sure that's a good idea Saul? All they want to do is pray to their own God and live peacefully
  • Fine I'll wait to kill them and study under a scholar named Gamaliel, who apparently lives around here.
  • PLEASE DON'T KILL MY PEOPLE!!!
  • I have fallen and now I cant see! Who is talking to me? You're Jesus? I must talk to Ananias to get my sight back? If this truly is Jesus, than I guess i will try to chnge my ways
  • Saul was Jewish, born in Tarsus to a rich family. He was educated so he could read and write, a tent maker and hated Christianity. He thought that their religion was blasphemous to his God, Yaweh. Even the word Jesus bought hate to is mind.
  • WAIT, what? I CAN SEE! I have been converted and will now travel the world persuading people to be Christian
  • AS THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU! I DAMAND YOU OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE
  • When Saul was a teenager, he moved to Jerusalem to learn more about Judaism and Jewish Law at the school of Gamaliel. Whilst in Jerusalem he became involved in the persecution of Christians. He witnessed the stoning of Saint Stephen and many other Christians.
  • As I sail the world, I will continue to attempt to persuade all Jews and Gentiles to come with me and believe in Jesus, no matter the cost.
  • I, Barnabas, will come as well
  • On the road to Damascus to arrest Christians, a bright light shined in Saul's eyes, blinding him and making him fall to the ground. Jesus came to him and asked 'Why are you persecuting me?' He also told Saul to continue his journey to Damascus and find Ananias who would heal him and return his eyesight.
  • Even though I know the Jewish authorities are coming to get me, I know my unwavering faith in God will guide me to heaven
  • Ananias prayed for Saul and hence his vision was restored as scales fell from his eyes, just as Jesus foretold. With his vision restored, his faith in Jesus and the holy spirit arrived. With his revelation he changed his name to Paul and was baptised as a Christian.
  • As Paul travelled the world he spread Christianity everywhere, he was converting people, he was preaching and spreading the word of God and Jesus. He travelled with Barnabas on his first trip and then Silas on his second trip.
  • During and after Paul's journeys, he wrote letters to communities he had visited previously or had hoped to visit. He even wrote letters in prison after he had been arrested for being Christian. His pastoral letters were written prior to his martyrdom and were about reflections on his life and what he hoped the world would become. Saint Paul was later beheaded for being Christian.
