Storyboard Text

  • By the time I reached my senior year of high school I had been inducted into the National Honor Society, and achieved excellent ACT scores.
  • Growing up, I always did well in school. I often made straight A's and was proud of my accomplishments.

  • Pre-Calculus
  • My final semester of high school, I was challenged like never before in my pre-calculus class. Despite my falling grades, I was determined to do it all on my own.
  • (f o g)(x) = f(g((x))
  • (g o f)(x) = g(f((x))
  • 32% F-
  • 7. (f o g) (x) = 27y -14
  • 3. 17w + (23)
  • 5. 46b +18w
  • 1. (x+1) > 112b
  • 8. (g o f) (x) = 14x +27
  • 4. 12(x-3) < 46
  • 6. 27y - 8 = 35
  • 10. (y+10) = 52x
  • 2. 37d - 16 = 46
  • 9. 3x + 25y = 73
  • See me!
  • The turning point was when I received an abysmal 32% score on a test, this was the lowest score I had ever earned. I was completely devastated.
  • My parents were not mad at me, but suggested that I seek tutoring outside of class time for the first time ever.
  • With the help of my teacher and a very smart and generous classmate, I began improving in the areas which I lacked.

  • With hard work, and the support of my teacher and classmate, I was able to raise my final grade to a B. I was very pleased with this result. Never again would I be ashamed of asking for help when I needed it.
