  • hey guys today im going to show you how to check your breaks and rotors.
  • Step 1- Things you will need
  • You will need an impact wrench, sockets that fit your lug nut, a dirty rag, break cleaner, WD40, and possible a wrench if youd rather use that.
  • Step 2- Lube up your lug nuts
  • Apply your WD40 to all lug nuts
  • Step 3- Take off lug nuts and wheel
  • Loosen up lug nuts with whatever size socket your tire takes. Then take off wheel
  • Step 4- Check rotors and brakes
  • Observe rotors to see if they have corrosion and rust. If so, sand off with a fine piece of sandpaper or metal brush. Check brake pads to see if they are about halfway gone. If less they'll need to be replaced.
  • step 5- Re-attaching wheel and lug nuts
  • Place lug nuts in a star pattern and hand tighten them. Then tighten with wrench as tight as possible (or use impact and tighten to 90 foot pounds)
