Storyboard Text

  • I know! Thanks for supporting me, President Jefferson.
  • However, Adams was still president until Jefferson officially took office until March.
  • Ha! Adams lost, so watch him run. What a lame duck!
  • I always will, Secretary Madison.
  • During Adam's "lame-duck" session, he had made many federal appointments...
  • *Sigh*
  • Hmmm. Times up. Whatever. I don't care. Just withhold the commission and don't deliver it to him.
  • ... And soon they carried over to be Thomas Jefferson's responsibility.
  • I firmly believe that in the Judiciary Act of 1789 says that the practice of delivering out commissions of the judges must be reinforced, and James Madison failed to do so!
  • Your time is running short, Mr. President, and someone named Marbury has an appointment with you soon.
  • Sorry Marbury, but your appointment was cancelled by President Jefferson. I refuse to deliver your commission.
  • I have no choice but to sue you!
  • And then, the Supreme Court took the case.
