Storyboard Text

  • Okay class, today we are going to be learning about Protein Synthesis. The first step of Proteing Synthesis is called Transcription.
  • The process of transcription begins with the DNA being unzipped and then RNA is copied with it and then copied.
  • The strand of MRNA then leaves the cell and goes to the Ribosome where the process called translation begins
  • SEE YA KIDS
  • The Ribosome then reads the MRNA and attaches amino acids in the correct order.
  • Those amino-acids create protein which then leaves to go where its needed.
  • But sometimes... mistakes are made. In the processes sometimes something is misread, causing faulty protein or MRNA. In transcription, a faulty MRNA can be made. Then, that faulty MRNA is brought into the process of translation, causing the wrong Amino Acid to be used. Which means the protein is made incorrectly so that it doesnt work.
