As a member of the House, I will now go vote for Thomas Jefferson!
I, Alexander Hamilton, say that you should vote Thomas Jefferson for President!
I have won the Presidency! Thanks to Alexander Hamilton!
Gosh darn Alexander Hamilton! I, Aaron Burr need to kill him!
Later at Alexander Hamilton's House
Aaron Burr wants to duel across the river in New Jersey! A duel it is!
At the Duel
After his Vice-Presidency, Burr, in the newly purchased Louisiana territory, tried to create his own empire, which he would lead.
For all who wish to join the Burr empire, join me in the Louisiana territory!
I believe that the political moves that Burr and Hamilton did to create the duel were side effects of what they thought would be best for the country. Hamilton made the right decision to tell House members to vote fore Jefferson because he turned out to be a good president. However, the duel ruined Hamilton's life and Aaron Burr's political career. That is one reason of why I think that dueling is a ancient and barbaric way for the elite class to handle issues.
