Clark Edwards was an important soldier. He was in the war for all four years. After the war, he ran for governor of Texas (for the second time).
The 53rd Infantry was an important part to the War. They fought the most terrible and important wars, including Gettysburg.
Doctors during the War weren't careful when it came to being clean. When they were cutting off limbs, they wouldn't clean the tools. This led to sickness and disease.
