After 6 years, Zack was on the streets. His parents had kicked him out because he was addicted to heroin. He was gambling in order to get heroin as well.
He was also diagnosed with gangrene (death of body tissue) and had a very hard time breathing. His veins were damaged from injecting heroin so much.
Zack was at high risk for drug use because the effects were getting so serious. He had almost fallen into a coma when he had overdosed as well. He couldn't stop taking heroin.
After 2 years, Zack had died from heart failure. His drug addiction had gone too far.
Zack's friend, Jason came to visit Zack's grave. Jason finally realised that heroin could kill you if you went too far. He then went to therapy to stop his drug addiction.
Jason never touched heroin or any other drug again and survived with a few damaged veins from injecting.
After several years, Jason recovered. He then became a drug expert and traveled around the world to talk to people about his drug addiction and recovery.
