  • How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages.
  • If we didn’t use this method, we used google images to find real concert pictures that we thought were artistic and unique.
  • For research we used YouTube to present existing products in the particular genre of documentaries such as The Stone Roses: Made of Stone, Katy Perry: Part of Me, Sigur Ros: Heima and Shut up and Play The Hits: LCD Soundsystem. This allowed us to obtain screenshots of particular pieces of content we liked and inspired us when making our own product.
  • We used PowerPoint to describe what has particularly influenced our group when focusing on our main product, which was the documentary. We also used slide share to present our research on different types of specific documentaries and the real names used as well as how particular documentaries were composed. We tried to present this in a contemporary way, concentrating on making our research more interesting to read.
  • . We also used image galleries on Wix, to make the pages more organised and dynamic. We also used spicy nodes in order to create virtual mind maps that we can navigate through quickly and easily. Using this we understood what we wanted to have in our documentary. When researching into the newspaper advert we used powtoon as a way of presenting our further research; we concentrated on the particular contents we liked. When researching into radio trailers, we used YouTube, to embed the existing products into our site. Furthermore when we researched into double page spreads we used google images, image galleries, powtoon and scanners.
  • When conducting primary market research, we used survey monkey, as it is a quick and easy way to receive significant information from vast amount of people. We also used this site to analyse our results and find out who are target audience would be.
  • We used digital cameras to film focus groups where we received in depth questions regarding the construction of our documentary; we thought using digital cameras would be an easy and quick way of getting the information that we wanted because it is transportable and no time for development is required, the video could be seen immediately.

  • When researching into the industry, we embedded websites so then it would be easy to link our decisions and ideas based on the information provided on the page. It also signifies the authenticity of the conglomerate we have chosen.
  • When researching into costumes we used Google images from the high tech computers in college; we used these because they have a very fast and strong connection therefore speeds up the research and planning process.
