Storyboard Text

  • Oh no! I don't want to fall off, I'm scared of that island over there.
  • I'm so hungry and tired because of this stupid island!
  • I got tired of hunting animals, so I created this island where I hunt humans for fun.
  • That is called murder!
  • Rainsford is an uncaring hunter that fell off of his boat at night time when reaching for his pipe. He swims all night and finally reaches an island he heard gunshots from.
  • I will now hunt you because I am bored of all the other men! I want to win this game and kill you!
  • You will not win this game! I will stay alive and win!
  • Rainsford arrives on the island and has a conflict: man vs. nature. He is struggling to survive and is hungry.
  • I cant believe I just killed Ivan! But oh well, I had to do what it took to survive.
  • Rainsford meets another person on the island, Zaroff, and has a verbal/internal conflict with him: man vs. man. Zaroff is a hunter and hunts humans for fun on his island. Upon hearing this, Rainsford changes his mind about hunting and disagrees with Zaroff.
  • Maybe it's a good thing I killed Ivan, because now I get the better bed!
  • Zaroff won't let Rainsford off of the island, and decides to hunt Rainsford because he thinks Rainsford is smarter than the others and will be more challenging to hunt. This is a physical/external man vs. man conflict.
  • Rainsford killed Ivan ,Zaroff's friend, in order to survive. This is a complete 360 from the beginning of the story. At first Rainsford was a hunter that killed animals all the time. Then, he called Zaroff a murderer for hunting humans. but in the end, Rainsford ended up murdering someone so he could stay alive.
  • At the end of the story, Rainsford's character has changed completely due to the conflicts he faced in the story. He therefore demands to have the better bed.
