  • The cattle drives were typically very long, and we had many obstacles along the way.
  • Imagine all of these cattle charging towards you. It would not be the best experience. These were called stampedes, and could happen anytime
  • The railroads revolutionized the cattle industry, letting people put cattle on trains and bring them up north.
  • This is not what really happened, but, its an idea
  • the open range was an unexplored place, there were no fences. this scene has a fence, but its looking toward the range.
  • West texas had lots of ranches, this is a ranch, and a lot of cattle lived here
