Man vs. Nature Rainsford eventually has to fight Zaroffs dogs. The dogs could find Rainsford easily. Rainsford had to set up traps to incapacitate the dogs. This shows physical conflict because Rainsford is fighting the dogs
Man vs. Self Rainsford eventually catches Zaroff and is given the choice to let him live or die. Rainsford said he did not want to be a killer at the beginning of the story and struggles with this decision. This shows internal conflict
