  • Impulsivity, Romeo's fatal flaw, creates many problems for him throughout the play; he asks Friar Lawrence to marry him and Juliet after only knowing her for a day

  • He feels as if everything is going very well with his life, and nothing can go wrong
  • Nemesis: The Inescapable Agent of Downfall
  • When Romeo suddenly slays Tybalt, Prince Escalus exiles him from Verona, and he sends him to Mantua.
