  • An old man was thinking about his maiden, Lenore who had passed. On this December night, he had almost fallen asleep while reading his book.
  • Climax
  • Nevermore
  • Something came tapping at his door. He opened it just to see darkness. He went back into his chamber.
  • Falling Action
  • The man opened the window, and then a Raven flew in. The bird sat on the mantle, watching over the man. He starts to ask the bird questions, but all the bird answers is "nevermore."
  • Resolution
  • Nevermore
  • When he decides to ask about his beloved Lenore, the Raven, once again, answers, "nevermore." He gets mad at the bird because he didn't get the answer he wanted.
  • Will I ever see my beloved Lenore again?
  • Sadly, he thinks about his maiden and starts to drink, He thinks about how lonely he is, that even a bird would leave him. The bird said, "nevermore," so the man gets angry with the bird again.
  • He starts to talk about Lenore, but the bird just keeps repeating, "nevermore." He tells the bird to leave, but he remains, sitting on the mantle of the chamber door.
  • Leave my chamber!
