It was sixth grade. Christmas break was almost here. The only thing between me and the break were my middle school exams. I had never taken exams before, only STAAR tests. I was extremely nervous and stressed out for my very first exams.
I got this!
Finally, my 1st period exam came. I was so stressed! I never expected a text to cause me to be so nervous. I fought through my nervousness and finished the test. I was so relieved that I had already completed my first exam.
Next came 2nd period. Then 3rd and 4th and 5th. After 4 days of non-stop testing, I finally received my 7th period exam. I knew testing was almost over. I had almost made it. I just had to finish this one test. So, I worked my way through, trying not to rush, and kept getting closer and closer to the end.
Finally, the last one. I read the question, looked through the answer choices, and circled one. I was done! I got up out of my chair and went to turn it in. I had just finished my first set of middle school exams and now I got to celebrate with winter break.
As I left the school, I felt a sense of pride. I was so proud of myself for making it through my very first exams. Now I had the chance to relax and have some fun over the break.
Once I got home, I immediately went to the computer and checked my grades. A's and B's on all of them! That made me feel even more confident for my final exams at the end of the year.
